BOTTLEBOX® participating in coastal clean-up

This past weekend our Director of Corporate Sustainability Andrew Jolin participated in the annual Coastal Cleanup Day, organized by Friends of the DUNES. They spent the day in Humboldt Coastal Nature Center cleaning up the beaches and dunes by the Pacific Ocean. The organizer reported that the most common debris on the beach is PET bottles. At BOTTLEBOX® we are strong believers of PET recycling, as that’s the material we use for our take-out containers. Per the Ocean Conservancy, the fact that we use recycled bottles to make other products raises the value of the used plastic bottles, which in turn helps in the collection and recycling of them. Every effort to increase the recycling of plastic and other materials is important for our environment, so please keep recycling!
